Circumnavigation – Vigo

In this film, there is notably a fragility of the image. It has a sensuality that that makes it sharply distinct from other works produced in this genre. The camera is never a voyeur. It does not have to make any effort to capture the semblance. None of that. The image breathes, it is alive. It is a body, with folds, a grain of skin; pulverizes in light by a commodius vicus of recirculation. Circumnavigation is a film that provides us with a new view of the body that is presented and staged, the image and perspective. “Everything remains thought, everything stops weighing” (Clément Rosset).
